Product Overview
The PW180‑C spray laser particle size analyzer is an industrial-grade instrument specifically designed for droplet size distribution testing of medium and large spray equipment. To address the characteristics of wide droplet fields and broad particle size distributions, two product variants are available: the PW180‑B with an adjustable measurement zone in a split structure, and the PW180‑C with a wide measurement zone in an integrated structure.
Based on Mie scattering and Fraunhofer diffraction principles, the instrument employs a classical Fourier optical system using a high-power fiber-coupled semiconductor laser as the light source. A collimated parallel beam passes through the entire spray field, and a large-aperture (φ110 mm) Fourier lens receives scattered light signals from various angles generated by droplets of different sizes and positions. An ultra-high-speed signal acquisition system captures the scattering spectra in real time, and mathematical inversion methods calculate the droplet size distribution.

The PW180‑C spray laser particle size analyzer is widely used for particle size testing of spray equipment, water mist, and aerosols in fields including medicinal sprays, agricultural spraying, spray granulation, agriculture and forestry plant protection, firefighting, environmental protection, meteorology, aerospace, automotive, and marine applications. It provides reliable particle size data for optimizing nozzle design, studying spray conditions, evaluating spray effects, recording meteorological data, and assessing combustion performance of various engine fuels.

2. 6th Generation Long-Life High-Stability Photodetector
Features the 6th generation high-stability photodetector independently developed by NKT. Using specially selected high-performance German-imported raw materials with excellent oxidation and aging resistance, ensuring photoelectric conversion efficiency remains almost undiminished for ten years. The theoretical service life matches that of the entire instrument, never needing replacement.
3. High-Concentration Compensation Analysis Technology
Incorporates high-concentration compensation analysis technology to eliminate the effects of multiple scattering, ensuring accurate and reliable test results even with high-concentration samples that produce severe multiple scattering.
4. Fully Automatic Alignment System
The test optical path achieves fully automatic alignment, ensuring that after instrument reassembly or adjustment of the measurement zone, the optical path is quickly restored to the optimal test state.
5. High-Speed Signal Processing System
Equipped with a high-speed acquisition and signal processing system with an acquisition rate as high as 200 kbps, effectively capturing scattered light signals from all particles, ensuring test accuracy and repeatability for high-speed motion spray particles.
6. High-Power Fiber-Coupled Semiconductor Laser
The high-power fiber-coupled semiconductor laser offers high output power, excellent beam quality, outstanding stability, immunity to environmental interference, and long operating life (>50,000 hours), easily penetrating high-concentration droplets to ensure test resolution.
7. Air Curtain Protection
Equipped with an air curtain protection device to effectively protect the optical lens and prevent droplet contamination during testing, addressing the irregular spray field of droplets.
