Product Overview
The Ceramic Membrane MBR System is an advanced submerged membrane bioreactor solution that combines biological wastewater treatment with high-performance ceramic membrane filtration. Designed for municipal and industrial wastewater applications, the system delivers efficient solid-liquid separation, stable effluent quality, and long-term operational reliability.
Unlike conventional polymer membrane MBR systems, our ceramic membrane technology utilizes high-purity alumina flat sheet ceramic membranes with proprietary ceramic glazed sealing technology, providing exceptional resistance to strong acids, alkalis, high salinity, chlorine-containing wastewater, and abrasive suspended solids.
The system is particularly suitable for wastewater streams that rapidly foul or degrade polymer membranes, offering significantly longer service life, reduced maintenance, and lower lifecycle costs.

Working Principle
The Ceramic Membrane MBR System integrates biological treatment with membrane filtration in a single process.
Wastewater enters the biological reactor, where microorganisms degrade organic contaminants. The submerged ceramic membrane modules continuously separate treated water from activated sludge through outside-in suction filtration.
Air scouring beneath the membrane modules minimizes fouling, while periodic backwashing and chemical cleaning maintain stable membrane performance. The concentrated sludge remains within the biological reactor, allowing operation at higher mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) concentrations and improving treatment efficiency.

Advantages
Superior Corrosion Resistance
The ceramic glazed sealing technology provides excellent resistance to strong acids, alkalis, chlorine-containing wastewater, and high-salinity environments, eliminating common sealing failures associated with epoxy resin.
Excellent Anti-Fouling Performance
The ceramic membrane surface offers high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to fouling, enabling longer filtration cycles and reduced cleaning frequency.
Stable Effluent Quality
The precise pore structure effectively retains suspended solids, bacteria, and activated sludge, producing consistently high-quality permeate suitable for discharge or reuse.
Long Service Life
Ceramic membranes typically provide 5–10 years of service and withstand repeated chemical cleaning and backwashing, reducing replacement frequency and lifecycle costs.
Lower Operating Costs
The robust ceramic structure minimizes maintenance requirements and supports stable long-term operation, helping reduce overall operating expenses.
